Pierre Péters has farmed the slopes of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger since Gaspard Péters married into the vineyard in 1840, and the family began estate-bottling under Camille Péters in 1919. Now run by sixth-generation winemaker Rodolphe Péters, the domaine works twenty hectares across sixty-three parcels, most in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and the rest spread across the Grand Cru villages of Oger, Avize, Cramant, and Chouilly, all planted to Chardonnay on east-facing chalk that drains fast and holds the vines through dry years. Grapes are pressed within six hours of picking and fermented parcel by parcel in stainless steel, then carried through malolactic fermentation. The Cuvée de Réserve is the house's flagship: a pure Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru built on the current base vintage and deepened by a perpetual reserve of older wines, refreshed each year rather than replaced, that reaches back to 1988. The result is bright and floral, honeysuckle and acacia blossom over citrus and a thread of beeswax, carried by a racy freshness to a long, mineral finish. A Champagne built for precision over spectacle.
