The Gasparetto family's winery, Rive della Chiesa, dates to 1963, when Nino and Irma came home to Selva del Montello from Australia and revived the vineyard Nino's father had planted by the village church. The Gran Cuvée Brut steps outside their Prosecco range: Glera blended with Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio from the Veneto, made sparkling by the Charmat-Martinotti method and bottled at a light 11%. Green apple, pear, and white peach lead, with a flick of citrus and a smooth, gently savory palate. Pour it with salumi, fresh cheese, or fish; in the family's color code, a blue label signals easygoing company, and this bottle wears it well.
