Founded in the village of Cumières in 1872 by Lucien Leclerc, the business moved, in 1955, to the premises it still occupies today in Chemin de la Chaude Ruelle in Epernay. The vineyard estate includes one tiny plot, called La Croisette, right in the heart of Epernay. It is tended with the care and attention usually only given to a much loved garden and today it produces one of the most outstanding champagnes in the House’s ‘Sélections Parcellaires’ (single vineyard) range.

The Reserve Extra Brut is a blend of 42% Pinot Noir; 33% Chardonnay; 25% Pinot Meunier. To the eye, the wine has a luminous and fluid appearance and a pale yellow color with flashes of bright straw-yellow deep in the glass. On the nose the first aromas are of patisserie and oriental spices, a delightful opportunity to allow yourself to be carried away by notes of almond paste, praline and spicy. On the palate, a fresh and clean attack. The Champagne develops a fleshy and crunchy fruitiness, underpinned by tight lemon acidity.
