Malbec's classic French home is Cahors, in the South West, but La Rose de Margot takes the grape to the Mediterranean: the 2024 is 100% Malbec under the IGP Pays d'Oc, the regional designation that covers Languedoc-Roussillon from the Pyrénées to the Cévennes. At 14%, it pours deep purple with a violet rim and opens on ripe dark fruit and spice; the palate is plush, the tannins polished. Margot is the daughter of Guillaume Lanvin, whose company Lanval imports the wine, and it's clear he didn't lend her name to just anything.
