Comando G La Bruja Sierra de Gredos Spain 2024

Fernando García and Daniel Gómez Jiménez-Landi founded Comando G in 2008 to revive the forgotten high-altitude Garnacha of the Sierra de Gredos, and in doing so helped redefine the grape in Spain: pale, perfumed, and mountain-fresh rather than dark and heavy. La Bruja de Rozas is their village-level bottling from Rozas de Puerto Real in DO Vinos de Madrid, where old vines grow in decomposed granite at roughly 850 to 900 meters. The farming is organic and biodynamic; the winemaking is whole-cluster, native-yeast, and minimal. The 2024 is lifted and aromatic, with wild strawberry, red cherry, and pomegranate wound through rose and lavender, silky tannins, and a bright, granite-cut finish.
