Book a private class

Pick a class from the list, start from a date, or build your own. One of our sommeliers leads the class for your group only.

    A class for your team, in the middle of the day or after work. No wine knowledge needed.

  • Client outings

    Host your clients at the shop with a sommelier at the table. Choose a class from the list, or build your own around a region or a level of wine.

  • At your office

    We come to offices anywhere in the five boroughs for $95. We bring the wine and the sommelier. We do not bring glassware, so have a wine glass ready for each guest, or ask us and we can arrange a rental for an added fee. Outside the five boroughs? Tell us what you need and we will plan it with you.

  • Larger groups

    15 or more takes the whole shop. Call 646-398-7474 or email info@purewinenyc.com and we will plan it with you.

  • Corporate gifting

    Bottles for clients and teams, chosen by our sommeliers to your budget. No minimum. Gift notes and gift wrapping available. Same-day delivery across NYC and shipping to 44 states.

Questions

How does booking work?

Pick your class, date, and start time, then book and pay at checkout. Classes run seven days a week, between 1pm and 9pm, and we need 48 hours of notice. We confirm your date by email within 24 hours. If we cannot host it, we move it or refund you in full. Anything priced on request comes to us as a request instead, and we reply with a price and a secure payment link.
Where are classes held?

At the shop, 86 East 10th Street, during shop hours, or at your home or office anywhere in the five boroughs for an added fee. At your place we bring the wine and the sommelier. We do not bring glassware, so please have a wine glass ready for each guest. Need glasses? Call 646-398-7474 or email info@purewinenyc.com and we can arrange a rental for an added fee. Outside the five boroughs? Call or email and we will plan it with you.
How many people can come?

Private classes are for 4 to 14 guests and are priced per person. 15 or more takes the whole shop, so please call 646-398-7474 or email info@purewinenyc.com and we will plan it with you.
Can my company book a class?

Yes. Every class can be booked for a team event, a client outing, or an offsite, at the shop or at your office anywhere in the five boroughs. A group of 15 or more takes the whole shop, so call or email and we will plan it with you. For gifting, or an event beyond a class, see Corporate gifting and events.
Do we need to know anything about wine?

No. Bring your curiosity. Our sommeliers do the rest.
Can we bring food?

Yes. You are welcome to bring food to a class at the shop. The wine and cheese pairing class includes the cheese. Tell us about any allergies when you book.
Can we buy the wines we taste?

Yes. The wines we pour come from our shelves, so you can take your favorites home. Mix any 12 bottles and save 10%.
What if we need to move or cancel?

Tell us at least 7 days before the class and we will move the date or refund you in full. Inside 7 days the class is non-refundable, but you can move the date once with 48 hours of notice, or send other guests in your place. A class booked less than 7 days ahead is non-refundable from the time it is booked. The full details are in our private class terms.
Is there an age requirement?

All guests must be 21 or older, and we check ID.
