"The bee's knees" was Prohibition-era slang for the very best, which is a lot of name for three ingredients to carry, yet gin, lemon, and honey have been living up to it since the 1920s. Georgia's Tip Top Proper Cocktails was started by music-industry veterans who had worked some of the country's biggest festivals and knew how hard a good cocktail is to serve at volume, and its Bee's Knees arrives ready to pour at 26 percent ABV in a 100ml can. Bright citrus peel and tart lemon come first, honey rounds the edges with a floral sweetness, and a crisp botanical backbone from the gin keeps it all in line, with a trace of dried lavender threaded through. Served up in a chilled coupe, all it lacks is a speakeasy door and a password.
