A 200ml bottle is a smart way into a whiskey that changes every year. Pinhook skips the industry habit of blending to a fixed house profile and instead assembles each vintage from that year's mature barrels, setting the proof wherever the blend drinks best. Co-founder and master blender Sean Josephs works from Pinhook's own mash of 75 percent corn, 15 percent rye, and 10 percent malted barley, all non-GMO, distilled on a Vendome copper column still at Castle & Key in Frankfort, Kentucky. The 2025 spent over three years in char #4 new American oak and settled at 100 proof, bottled without chill filtration. Tropical fruit, honey, and caramel open the nose with a soft glazed-doughnut sweetness; the palate warms into clove, graham cracker, and cinnamon. Enough for a few neat pours, or three proper Manhattans.
