Golan Heights Winery planted its first vines on the volcanic plateau of the Golan in 1976 and was founded in 1983 by a group of four kibbutzim and four moshavim. Mount Hermon White is the house's easygoing label: a blend of classic white varieties that shifts slightly from harvest to harvest, grown in high-elevation vineyards on rocky volcanic soil and fermented cold in stainless steel to hold onto every bit of freshness. The style, which the 2024 continues, is bright and unoaked: green apple, tangerine, lime, and tropical fruit with a floral lift and a lively, clean finish. Certified kosher, kosher for Passover, and not mevushal. A weeknight white that takes itself just seriously enough.
