Ridge Lytton Springs Zinfandel 2021

In 1972, Ridge made its first Lytton Springs from vines planted on the eastern half of the vineyard at the turn of the century. The 2021 bottling is a rich blend of 72% Zinfandel, 15% Petite Sirah, 9% Carignane and small amounts of Alicante Bouschet, Cinsaut, and Counoise. In the typical Ridge style, this vintage strikes a perfect balance: full in body but not weighty, instead offering juicy, soft tannins and a generous, giving nature. On the nose and palate, there’s a ton to discover—ripe strawberry, black raspberry, rose, red licorice, plum, sage, fennel, white pepper, dark chocolate and sarsaparilla. Hand harvested, organic, minimal intervention, incredible value.
