Hewitson Gun Metal Eden Valley Riesling 2015 Magnum

Dean Hewiston, affectionately known as the “mad hatter” has a passion for creating new and exciting wines inspired by the old world, but with a new world twist.  Hewiston focuses on sustainability and encourages biodiversity throughout their vineyard and the neighboring Para River.  Gun Metal offers a dusty tone upon first opening before developing lovely floral notes, a touch of light citrus, and great minerality.  This dry Riesling is drinking wonderfully, and will continue to be a great party option as long as it’s on the shelf!
