Domaine Denis Bachelet Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2022

Sourced from six parcels planted between 1932 and 1937—Champerrier, Derée, La Justice, Sylvie, La Burie, and La Platière—this wine is built on the depth and concentration of truly old vines. Grown in limestone-rich soils and vinified with 100% destemmed fruit, the 2022 aged 16 months in barrel, 20% of which was new oak. The nose offers ripe cherry, cassis, orange rind, and spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with fine, powdery tannins and a long mineral finish. This is a wine of structure and nuance that expresses Gevrey with clarity and poise.
