Isabelle Garrault Les Grands Monts Sancerre 2025

The Garrault family has grown grapes in Sancerre for more than ten generations, working from the village of Verdigny on steep slopes between 200 and 250 meters. Les Grands Monts draws on vines averaging over fifty years old in Verdigny and Sury-en-Vaux, rooted in the appellation's two classic soils, terres blanches marl and caillottes limestone. The grapes are picked by hand, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and raised entirely in stainless steel to keep every bit of their freshness. Lime, lemon zest, wet stone, and flowers fill the nose with a faint smoky, herbal edge; the palate brings lemongrass and ripe pear on vibrant acidity. Sancerre the traditional way, and a natural match for Crottin de Chavignol.
