Paolo Scavino Barolo Ravera 2015

The 2015 vintage, characterized by a warm growing season, produced Barolos with ample fruit, well-knit structure, and a vibrant backbone of freshness. The Ravera by Scavino is a striking example of this esteemed cru, showcasing both power and finesse. The nose entices with a captivating bouquet of woodland berries, iris, and botanical herbs, underpinned by darker tones of menthol, warm stone, and earthy spice.
The palate offers Marasca cherry, pomegranate, and black plum, layered with star anise, white pepper, and a whisper of tobacco. The wine’s hallmark minerality, a defining trait of the Ravera vineyard’s elevated, east-facing slopes, lends definition and clarity to its structure. The tannins are assertive yet completely polished and integrated thanks to a good amount of time already in bottle. Beautiful already but will continue to develop for a decade.
