Franco Serra Langhe Nebbiolo 2021

The delights of a Barolo in an accessible, drink-tonight style. 100% Nebbiolo from around Alba, grown on lime and chalk soils at an elevation of 1000 ft.  The grapes are hand harvested and undergo a three-week maceration followed by four weeks of fermentation. The wine is then aged for six months in large oak barrels (20% new), and three months in bottle before release. On the nose, dried fruit and herbal notes with cherry and rose flavors on the palate. Overall, a wonderfully complex and engaging expression of one of Italy’s noble grapes.
