Fiancetto is the personal label of Ry Richards, who made his name as Phil Titus's assistant winemaker at Napa's Chappellet and built his own brand on quietly sourced fruit from serious addresses. This Pinot Noir comes from Redwood Ridge Vineyard near Annapolis on the far Sonoma Coast, a cool site tucked among the redwoods a few miles from the Pacific, where fog, wind, and a long, slow season do most of the shaping; the Goldridge sandy loam underfoot is the fast-draining soil prized across the region's best Pinot country, and the neighbors include some of California's most admired growers. The 2024 is focused and energetic, with the bright acidity the site all but guarantees. A blue-chip neighborhood, an unfamous name on the label.
