Equis Equinoxe Crozes-Hermitage 2023

Domaine Equis, founded by Maxime Graillot, is located in Beaumont-Monteux in the Northern Rhône. Maxime, trained under his legendary father Alain, crafts wines that are more fruit-driven and expressive compared to his dad’s more traditional approach.  He produces this organic Crozes-Hermitage from Syrah grown on gravel and sand-based soil, using indigenous yeast, 80% destemming and aging in 6-year-old tronconique wood. The Equinoxe is medium-bodied, offering flavors of black cherries, olive, smoke, and violets, with a crunchy, juicy texture and a black pepper edge. Soft tannins and a fresh, berry-driven finish.
