The 2015 Ribolla Gialla from Josko Gravner is a wine of extraordinary depth and intention, shaped by both its warm, concentrated vintage and one of the most radical approaches in winemaking. Grown in Friuli’s Oslavia region and fermented on the skins in buried Georgian amphorae, it spent over six years aging in large oak casks before release. The vintage’s richness amplifies the structure and gravitas of the wine, bringing out layered notes of dried apricot, orange peel, tamarind, and incense. Now nearly a decade on, it is broad and meditative, with firm tannins, glowing texture, and a savory, mineral finish that lingers for minutes.
