Winemaker Sylvain Pataille is one of the most influential figures in Burgundy, both a top producer in Marsannay, a leader in organic and biodynamic viticulture, and a consultant to some of the most prestigious domaines in the region. This Chardonnay, from 40-year-old vines in gravelly, limestone-rich soils, sees 24 months of aging and 33% new oak, leading to a bright, fresh wine with ripe green apple on the nose, a beautiful minerality, and a long finish.
