Ghislaine Barthod's domaine is one of Chambolle-Musigny's benchmark addresses for Pinot Noir, with a celebrated range of premier crus; a white from this cellar is an event. Les Graviers is the estate's first, drawn from a half-hectare parcel in Chambolle-Musigny that Ghislaine and her son Clément Boillot, who has led the winemaking since 2018, planted to Chardonnay in the mid-2010s. Élevage lasts a year and is split evenly between used 500-liter barrels and terracotta jars, a regimen built to keep wood out of the picture. Sleek and pure-fruited, clinging quietly to the palate with virtually no oak imprint. A red-wine family's idea of white Burgundy: all cut and clarity.
