Nino Negri Nebbiolo Bianco Alpi Retiche 2024

Established in 1897, Nino Negri is the premier estate producing wine in the Valtellina DOCG in Italy’s Lombardy region. Steep, nearly vertical vineyards from 2,400 to 3,000 feet elevation rule out the use of any mechanical equipment. All work, from removing soil to harvesting grapes is done by hand. The Alpi Retiche Bianco is a white wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grape. The grapes are vinified with a soft pressing and an immediate separation of the skins to avoid the transfer of the color to the wine. Straw yellow color with light gold highlights; a delicate but distinct aroma with fragrant notes of green apple, lemon, toasted bread, honey and white fleshy fruit; it is dry and fresh on the palate, with a pleasant flavorsome mineral finish.
