Jean-Marc Roulot is best known for his benchmark Meursaults, but his Auxey-Duresses Blanc offers another take on the same ethos—precise, mineral, and finely etched. Sourced from cool, limestone-rich slopes just west of Meursault, the 2019 vintage balances the warmth of the season with the natural lift of the site. Aromas of green apple, citrus peel, and crushed stone unfold slowly, with a flicker of flint and white flowers in the background. The palate is focused and quietly layered, with lemon oil and a touch of creaminess overlaid on a firm mineral line. The result is both supple, taut and can hold its own with Meursault any day of the week.
