The Le Chant Rouge is a refined and expressive blend from the Polkadraai Hills of Stellenbosch, crafted with precision and care on the 143-acre Eikenhof estate. Grown on diverse soils and slopes facing the cooling breezes of False Bay, the vines benefit from optimal sun exposure and even ripening. This Merlot-dominant blend harmoniously combines Bordeaux varietals with Shiraz and Sangiovese, resulting in a vibrant, layered wine. On the nose, fresh floral aromas give way to delicate red berries, while subtle spice notes evolve with time in the glass. Aged in French barriques, foudre, and cement tanks, the wine offers elegance, depth, and a polished, lingering finish.
