The grapes go through an old-style Vaslin press, which sends more lees along with the juice, and the wine ferments in barrel before resting on its fine lees, with a measured share of new oak. The 2020 shows pear, citrus, and orange peel with a bready note and a dusting of nutmeg, then turns silky and concentrated, with a chalky grip and a perfumed lift.
